The 256 color Loom closeups were used in the FM-Towns version, but not the PC CD version. The closeups do exist in the PC CD version's datafiles though. Including one where a disgruntled artist gave his thoughts on working on Loom (the text has been brightened in order to see it better, since the original blends in with the rest of the face as you can see on the left).
